STEPS
1
HIT THE MENU BUTTON IN ANDROID FROM ANY HOME SCREEN AND SELECT "SYSTEM SETTINGS" TO GET STARTED. 2
SELECT "DATA USAGE" WHICH IS RIGHT TOWARDS THE TOP OF THE SETTINGS SCREEN. It's above the word "More." 3
CLICK ON THE ORANGE LINE IN THE DATA USAGE SCREEN. Make sure the mobile data option is "on" and that there's a check next to "Set mobile data limit." 4
SET THE LIMIT FOR RECEIVING A WARNING TO WHEREVER YOU WANT. An example would be "204
8 MB." 5
CLICK ON THE RED LINE TOWARDS THE TOP OF THE SCREEN. Scroll up or down to set the data usage limit where you want it. This will disallow you from using anything over a data link after that amount has been reached. Click "Set" to set the limit. TIPS
Setting an upper limit will also keep others using your phone from going over your limits.
WARNINGS
If you don't monitor your data use, then you could end up going over your allotted amount and getting charged extra.
