Each Apple retail store includes a Genius Bar where customers can get expert technical support for their iPod, iPad, Mac or iPhone. Genius Bars are staffed by trained professionals known as Mac Geniuses who provide expert advice about Apple products, help customers learn to use their Apple products and troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Apple hardware and software problems. These individuals participate in an extensive training process, specifically designed by Apple, and receive the Genius certification upon completion of their training.

SEARCH FOR CURRENT MAC GENIUS JOB OPENINGS ON THE APPLE WEBSITE BY NAVIGATING TO THE "JOBS AT APPLE" PAGE.

CONTACT YOUR LOCAL APPLE STORE TO INQUIRE ABOUT CURRENT OR POTENTIAL FUTURE OPENINGS.

THOROUGHLY READ THE PREFERRED AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR BECOMING A MAC GENIUS.

RESEARCH APPLE CERTIFICATION COURSES. Apple offers a variety of courses that cover the spectrum of Apple products and software.
Visit the Apple website to identify certification courses that compliment your skills and meet your interests.
Identify the Apple Authorized Training Center you wish to attend.
Enroll in your chosen certification courses.

REVIEW CURRENT MAC GENIUS OPENINGS.

CREATE A CURRENT RESUME. Include any Apple certifications you have earned, as well as relevant work and volunteer experience that relate to the required qualifications for becoming a Mac Genius. Proofread your resume thoroughly and correct any errors you discover.

WRITE A COVER LETTER. Your cover letter should provide additional details about the experience outlined on your resume.

PROOFREAD YOUR RESUME THOROUGHLY AND CORRECT ANY ERRORS YOU DISCOVER.

CREATE AN ACCOUNT ON THE APPLE WEBSITE IF YOU DO NOT ALREADY HAVE ONE.
Enter your Apple ID, which should be your email address. Choose a password and enter it in the appropriate menu boxes.
Select a security question and enter its answer.
Enter your birth date; first, middle and last names; and preferred language. You must also select your contact preferences.
Read the Apple Terms of Service and Apple Customer Privacy Policy and check the box indicating you have read and agree to these policies.

NAVIGATE TO THE "JOBS AT APPLE" PAGE ON APPLE\'S WEBSITE. Select "Sign in" and enter your Apple ID and password in the "Look for a Job in Retail" section.

CLICK "MY PROFILE" TO COMPLETE YOUR PROFILE. This information will be reviewed by Apple Recruiters and Apple Managers.
Complete the "Contact Profile" and "Professional Profile" sections.
Open your completed cover letter. Copy the text and paste it into the appropriate box on Apple's profile page.
Open your completed resume. Copy the text and paste it into the appropriate box on Apple's profile page.
Upload a formatted version of your resume by clicking the "Upload" button.
Review the information you have entered to be sure it is accurate and complete. Correct any errors you identify and click "Confirm."

Conduct an Internet search for sample resumes and cover letters if you need help creating yours.
Geniuses receive their training at one of several locations in the US, including Cupertino, Calif.; Atlanta, Ga.; or Austin, Texas, or abroad, such as Sydney, Australia or Ireland.
In larger stores with large Genius teams, a Lead Genius handles employee scheduling and customer service issues at the Genius Bar. This Lead Genius receives assistance from a Genius Admin, who handles paperwork and various other administrative tasks. Some Genius Bars staff Geniuses-in-training. A Genius-in-training is trained to handle iPod and iPhone issues, but has not received formal Genius training.
As part of the Mac Genius training process you will receive your Apple Certified Desktop Technician (ACDT) and Apple Certified Portable Technician (ACPT) certifications. Each training program includes hardware and software components, both of which must be passed. These credentials are required of all Apple Authorized Service Providers.

TIPS
Schedules for years following won't get added at the end of the team year right away. Most teams update their subscribed schedules at the beginning of January of the year of the new schedule.
The MLB At-Bat app used to be a "paid" app. However, when they joined the two types (Lite and Paid) apps together, they made this app completely free, with the click of another button upon sign-in.
You don't have to sign-in, to download the schedule, but, you can sign-in to your MLB account here, if you'd like.
WARNINGS
Having your iPhone manage a team's schedule does wonders to the battery, and does major wonder on your iPhone Notifications Center (that looks like an alert you can't seem to clear)
The MLB At-Bat App for Android does NOT have a comparable method of downloading the schedules for that type of smartphone schedule.
The schedule doesn't display the final cores at the end of the day, but if you open the schedule or results page, you'll see that score for that day arrive on the screen.

WAIT ABOUT THIRTY MINUTES TO ALLOW ALL THE INTERNAL EQUIPMENT TO DROP TEMPERATURE
DISCONNECT ALL CABLES
TURN OVER COMPUTER AND PLACE IT SOMEWHERE SAFE FROM DAMAGES.
Use a coin to unlock the battery lock by turning the coin to the right.
Remove the battery from the compartment
Be sure to touch to metal surface inside where the battery was to remove any potential static energy in your fingers.

TAKING OUT THE HARD DRIVE
LOOSEN THE THREE SCREWS ALONG THE RAM DOOR BE CAREFUL TO NOT FULLY REMOVE THEM
CAREFULLY GRAB THE L-SHAPED RAM DOOR, WORK IT OUT FROM THE BATTERY BAY.
It can be helpful to use a non magnetic plastic card, just remember to be careful not to bend the RAM door. Pull the hard drive pull tap straight out to slide the drive out from railing in the battery bay.
Remove the drive by holding it on it's sides.

PUTTING IN THE REPLACEMENT HARD DRIVE
SLIDE THE NEW HARD DRIVE IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE OLD HARD DRIVE AND TUCK THE TAB IN.
Be sure to replace the RAM door properly other wise the computer will not boot
This is easily achieved by placing the short end in the notch close to the hard drive. Use the same non magnetic card to put the door back in place make sure the screw hole align properly as well.

CLOSE THE COMPUTER
PUT THE BATTERY BACK IN ITS COMPARTMENT
TURN THE BATTERY LOCK WITH THE COIN TO THE LEFT TO LOCK THE BATTERY IN PLACE
CONNECT ALL REMOVED CABLES
TURN ON COMPUTER
TIPS
Be sure to keep yourself demagnetized at all times, if you have to get up at any point be sure to touch the metal casing on the computer before touching the components
WARNINGS
Some computer's warranties void when you try replacing stuff yourself, if you don't feel fully comfortable replacing the hard drive hire a professional.
