How to Measure the Speed of a Moving Object With Android: 5 Steps

If you want to determine exactly how fast a particular object, like a car or person is travelling, you can do so with a free Android app. This app makes use of your camera.
STEPS

SEARCH FOR "MEASURE SPEED" IN THE PLAY STORE.

SELECT AN APP THERE SUCH AS THE "SPEED GUN" APP.

CLICK "INSTALL" TO INSTALL THE APP. Click "Open" to open the app when you're ready to use it.

CLICK ON WHERE IT SAYS "DISTANCE" IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER OF THE SCREEN. Enter the distance from you to the target you'll be measuring. Click "OK."

PUT YOUR FINGER ON THE SCREEN WHEN WHERE THE OBJECT PASSES YOU, AND TRACE THE OBJECT AS IT PASSES. This will tell you the average speed of the object.
TIPS
Make sure you know exactly how far away the closest part of the object you're measuring is to get the most accurate results.
